We are from this land, not sourcing from it
Mekong Dragon began where the fruit does — in Cái Mơn, Chợ Lách, the oldest fruit-growing district in the Mekong Delta.
Chợ Lách has been grafting and propagating fruit trees for well over a century. Growing up there means learning, before you learn anything else, that fruit is not a commodity — it is a season, a grove, a decision made three months before harvest.
Our founder spent more than three decades in this trade before the company carried this name. That is where the grower relationships come from, and it is why we can walk into a grove and know whether the fruit is ready.
The delta itself teaches the same lesson twice a year. Nobody here beats the water. You live with the flood, you step back from the salt, and you come back when the fresh water returns. Nine river mouths became seven, and people kept planting. That is not stubbornness. It is the kind of endurance that water has — never rigid, never gone.
It is also how we run a business. We do not promise a volume we cannot hold in a hard season, and we do not disappear in one.

The name
Cửu Long — nine dragons — is what Vietnamese calls this river, for the nine mouths through which the Mekong once reached the sea. Two have since closed. Seven remain, and the delta kept working.
We took the name because it says exactly what the business is: many sources, one river. Many groves and many plants, one standard.
